This Brand Anthem was a collaboration between Sonic Boom and Hawk’s Bay singer/songwriter Matt Frear.

Our job was to reinterpret his song in a commercial context while acknowledging the tikanga associated with using Te Reo (the Māori language) and Taonga Pūoro (traditional instrumentation). We engaged with local Māori practitioners as well as the Project Prima Volta choral programme in the recording and arrangement of the work.
